Pune Warriors have re-signed Australia all-rounder Steve Smith for the sixth edition of Indian Premier League (IPL 6), the player said on Saturday. Smith was in fine form with the Pune franchisee last season. Now, the young all-rounder has been rewarded for his consistent performances in IPL 5. The 23-year-old right-hand batsman scored 362 runs in 15 matches for Pune in 2012. He hit 14 sixes and 24 fours at a strike rate of 135.58. Smith (@stevesmith49) tweeted on Saturday, "Delighted to have re-signed with @punewarriorsipl for the 2013 IPL. Looking forward to having a much improved year at Pune. #punapuna." IPL 6 will get under way on April 3, 2013 in Kolkata with reigning champions Kolkata Knight Riders playing Delhi Daredevils. Pune's first game is against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 5 in Hyderabad.
